Line laying in the Emergence de Gouron

To say it in advance- the Gouron really didn't make it easy for us!

This really beautiful cave pours after heavy rainfall or snowmelt so much that you don't even need to go there to dive it. Chris Sandrini (DIR- CH) told us every year anew that the previously laid line is destroyed again at the latest in spring and has to be patched or better renewed in countless places.

We then asked ourselves which possibilities there could be to install a stable line here...... From Friday the 23rd to Sunday the 25th of November 2012 we met on site with the DIR- CH to install the line in the Gouron according to a laying method, as caving groups sometimes use. (http://www.swiss-cave-diver.ch/tips-tricks/tips-tricks.html )

In total we drilled several holes in the first siphon to fix the line loops and we spent more than 75 hours of diving time. We are in good spirits and hope to have found a solution for the "line problem" of the Emergence de Gouron. During the action we resurveyed the cave and will present an updated cave plan in 3D.
